2022 MAU Calendar
MAU (MAKERS ARTISTS UNITED) is a long term artist-initiated project founded by Elisa Yon and as of 2021, VALU CO-OP. The project aims to re-imagine the way souvenirs function as objects and as vehicles to examine lesser-known local histories, cultural identities, and issues affecting the future of Vancouver's Chinatown. Now in its fourth year, the limited-edition Risograph printed 2022 MAU Calendar continues to capture a contemporary portrait of the community while showcasing the work of local artists, community members, social service organizations and businesses. In 2021, VALU CO-OP took over MAU from Elisa to carry on the torch of the beloved project.
The 2022 MAU Calendar features artwork by local artists Edward Fu-Chen Juan, YACTAC, Mengya Zhao, VALU CO-OP, with translations by Christine TN Wong and layout design by Emily Cheung.
Each calendar is 10"x16", comprised of 13 unbound Risograph-prints on 67lb natural paper stock by @monikerpress, a Risograph print and publishing studio based in #chinatownyvr
Produced by MAU (Makers Artists United).
